About Me

Gitty Rubin, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor who devotes herself to helping patients understand the science behind their emotions and to learn to deal with them effectively not only when it is already adversely affecting people’s lives, but also before challenging emotional patterns take root and have a negative effect on one’s life. Gitty has been researching, teaching and seeing patients in one-on-one and group settings for nearly two decades, she’s treated thousands of patients. 

 

Gitty has received specialized training in filial therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, anxiety treatment and more. She has held membership in a variety of mental health organizations including the Association for Play Therapy and the American Mental Health Counseling Association. Gitty has private practices in New York City and in Monsey, NY. 

 

Finally, Gitty developed the NeuroWise Therapeutics program (previously Healthy Brain Foundations).  NeuroWise Therapeutics is a fun form of psychotherapy that includes a preventative program that teaches children and adults how to think in healthy ways, deal with their emotions effectively, and develop healthy social interactions by learning empathy, communication, and problem solving skills. These lessons are offered in sessions that feel like game-play and utilizes biofeedback and neurofeedback VR experiences.  Thousands of children and adults have gone through this program and experienced marked improvements in all areas of life.
